With an amazing coral pinnacle with some great glass fish and perfect visibility - along with an eagle ray (which I totally blame by the way) that totally threw us off course. Next was a nice turtle, munching away on the soft purple coral, taking no notice of us two divers taking pictures during it's lunch. If it wasn't for another group of divers coming along and spoiling our fun, we would have stayed with it another 20 minutes! So we move on, find a nice size Napolean, which lead us to 2 more turtles, having what only can be described as a 'face off' on the sea floor. Head to head and circling around, until 1 eventually swam off. So we decide to head back to the boat - or so we (I) thought! Instead of heading in the direction of our boat, we tae a tour of Banana Reef! Oooops. Getting low on air and having killer eyes given by Karen, we surface to discover the truth. 60 minute dive time, followed by a 30 minute surface swim back to the boat! Not clever.
We were just hoping that we were not the last ones to arrive to the boat, could have been ambarrassing (not as much so as the nicely positioned hole in my wetsuit! hehe)
But after all the adventure, we decided it was a really nice dive, one of the best I have had for a long time and a few beers later all was ok!!!
Here are some pics of the turtle that allowed us join him for lunch. Enjoy!
